July 31, 2014: Nitro-Turbodyne has completed the final engineering on its Mobile Biodiesel Production Unit (MBPU). Simulation software confirmed previous calculations that the unit is capable of producing 800 gallons (3000 litres) per week of algae-derived biodiesel in a very small "footprint" area. The MBPU exceeds the strict requirements of the California Low Carbon Footprint Standards (LCFS), with a carbon sequestration ratio of over 155 to 1 - meaning it "locks up" 155 kilograms of CO2 for every kilogram of CO2 that it produces.

Nitro-Turbodyne will begin construction of the full-scale prototype unit shortly, and expects to begin full-scale testing in the final quarter of 2014.
